The flattener HD for FL55SS reduces a change of focal length of the FL55SS to a minimum, while improving flatteness of the surface at prime photography. The secured dia. 44mm image circle covers entire imaging field of full-frame DSLR camera. Using in combination with the Reducer HD5.5, the focal length will be reduced by 0,79x(from F5.5 to F4.3), while maintaining the image circle in dia. 44mm, largely improving sharpness over the entire imaging field of the DSLR camera with full-frame sensor.

The flattener HD is specially designed for the FL55SS refractor to reduce a light loss to a minimum, successfully secured over the nearly entire image circle of 44mm dia. of the full-frame DSLR camera.

The same anti-reflective AS coatings, which are used for our high-end VSD100F3.8 Astrograph, are used to take advantage of 99.9% superb high light transmission per lens surface. Loss of light, ghost and flare images are substantially eliminated thanks to the perfect matt finish inside.
